Every time I returned home, I would eagerly scan the horizon, awaiting my first glimpse of the Tustin blimp hangars. They stood as silent sentinels of history, bearing witness to a bygone era. Now, however, I feel that picturesque anticipation will be mixed with inexpressible sorrow. The rat-a-tat of helicopter blades shattering the tranquility of my usual waking up, this morning, brought me the heart-wrenching news of a devastating fire at one of the iconic hangars. An emotional weight settled into my heart. I feel a cherished chapter of my own life igniting in the merciless blaze.

The reporter on the news struggled to find the words, "Because of the sheer size of it, it is jaw-dropping."
